About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Development Manager to join our Animal Nutrition team at Eastman. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for driving growth initiatives and developing strategic plans to maximize the effectiveness of our additive solutions in the Animal Nutrition industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive market assessment by collecting market, competition, application, and technology insights to define market gaps and growth opportunities.
  • Develop a pipeline of customer and prospect opportunities for the market segment plan, working closely with sales and technical service teams.
  • Define and drive the go-to-market activation of the market segment plan(s), ensuring the relevant marketing mix is defined and all functions are prepared to position relevant offers.
  • Prioritize strategic opportunities and develop offers that match unmet needs with current and future Eastman product lines.
  • Own the definition and implementation of marketing campaigns, briefing the communications team on planned campaigns and ensuring their successful execution.
  • Use discovery outcomes to prioritize underserved differentiated growth opportunities through offer development or new product/application development projects.
  • Jointly manage opportunity/leads management for all growth opportunities for the assigned segment(s) with the sales leader.
  • Work with sales to develop customer relationships and partnerships to execute growth opportunities, whether that be positioning of existing offers at customers or new product/application development opportunities.
  • Deliver, capture, and maintain value.
  • Drive the full marketing process from opportunity assessment to launch effectiveness for all growth or new product and application development projects.
  • Drive stakeholder buy-in for each stage of the full marketing process.
  • Develop value propositions for identified growth opportunities at a customer or segment level and work with customer partners to demonstrate and document customer value.
  • Value price offers for the market segment(s).
  • Train front-line sales and application development on the value proposition, including distribution channels.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, or Veterinary Medicine, with a minimum of 7 years of B2B experience in the Animal Nutrition Industry. Proven marketing capabilities and practical knowledge of a range of marketing excellence tools are essential. Experience in quantified value proposition development and value pricing is also required. Strong communication and influencing skills are necessary to drive stakeholder buy-in and lead cross-functional market activation efforts.
