Fashion Internship – Sustainable Production Practices

About the Role

Solidaridad is a global civil society organization working on fostering solutions for sustainable production practices across various supply chains. We are seeking an intern to support the work of the Policy Influencing and Corporate Engagement and Partnerships team, focusing on the fashion sector (cotton, textiles, and leather).

Responsibilities

  • Perform desk research on meaningful stakeholder engagement within responsible purchasing practices.
  • Support the development of the Cotton ranking as part of the Solidaridad's initiatives.
  • Analyze relevant legislative proposals in Europe under the context of the EU strategy for sustainable and circular textiles.
  • Prepare pitches and proposals.
  • Implement programs, trainings, and other activities.
  • Develop external communications materials (presentations, brochures, etc.).

About You

We are looking for a candidate with an affinity for the vision and mission of Solidaridad, experience in the fashion industry (an asset), and a commitment to sustainability. You should be currently studying towards a Master's degree in Business, Economics, International Affairs, International Development, or another relevant field at a Dutch HBO/University. You should also have excellent command of English and be able to work independently with guidance from your team and/or team supervisor.
