About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Technician to join our Data Center team at Google. As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various data center systems, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the uptime and reliability of our data center facilities, as well as identifying and implementing opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. You will work closely with our engineering and operations teams to develop and implement best practices for data center operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain data center systems, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on data center equipment and systems.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop and implement best practices for data center operations and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data center operations and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
