Data Center Facilities Engineer

The Data Center Facilities Engineer will be responsible for the uptime, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage electrical system distribution. This includes monitoring multiple information streams in the control room and making accurate mission-critical decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience working in a data center environment.
As a key member of the Technical Infrastructure team, the Data Center Facilities Engineer will develop approaches to reduce operational costs while improving efficiencies. This will involve operating, monitoring, and maintaining data center facilities systems and equipment, and responding to abnormal conditions. The successful candidate will also support startup, commissioning, and integration of new equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.
Responsibilities include providing tracking and trending of operational characteristics, as well as providing operational and maintenance insights into the design review process. The Data Center Facilities Engineer will work closely with the team to ensure that environmental and safety standards are consistently met, and that problems are identified and repaired quickly.
This is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in Dutch to support the client management in the region as well as communication with local stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on the data center systems.
