Position Overview

As a Senior Engineer Plans, you will play a critical role in the approval process for your designated scope. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing the implementation of requirements and specifications dictated by Class, Statutory & Flag Regulations, as well as client expectations.
  • Creating essential deliverables, including statutory plans that adhere to relevant rules and regulations, technical specifications, system descriptions, and verification and validation documentation.
  • Conducting engineering tasks in both 2D and 3D formats.
  • Engaging in the Product & Proposal phase, ensuring the technical data provided by vendors and subcontractors is accurate.
  • Analyzing received offers from a technical perspective under the guidance of the Team Lead.
  • Providing technical support during commissioning activities and developing yard standards.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of five years of engineering experience.
  • A comprehensive understanding of (statutory) plans, arrangements, and outfitting systems, preferably acquired in the maritime or offshore sectors.
  • Knowledge of class and statutory regulations, along with experience in their practical application.
  • Experience with class, flag, and client approval processes, including interactions with plan approval authorities and local surveyors.
  • A strong awareness of quality and budget considerations, with experience collaborating with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D software such as Catia or Cadmatic.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal; proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.
  • EU nationality.
