Position Overview

  • Oversee the approval process for your designated scope, ensuring compliance with requirements and specifications set by Class, Statutory & Flag Regulations, and client expectations.
  • Generate necessary deliverables, including statutory plans that adhere to relevant rules and regulations, technical specifications, system descriptions, and verification and validation documentation.
  • Conduct engineering tasks utilizing both 2D and 3D methodologies.
  • Engage in the Product & Proposal phase, validating technical data provided by vendors and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate (technically) received proposals under the guidance of the Team Lead.
  • Provide technical assistance during commissioning activities and develop yard standards.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • At least five years of experience in engineering roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of (statutory) plans, arrangements, and outfitting systems, ideally acquired in shipbuilding or offshore installations.
  • Familiarity with class and statutory regulations, along with practical experience in their interpretation and application.
  • Experience with class, flag, and client approval processes, including interactions with plan approval and local surveyors or client representatives.
  • Strong awareness of quality and budget considerations, with experience collaborating with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D software such as Catia or Cadmatic.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal; knowledge of Dutch is advantageous.
  • EU nationality.
