pWe are seeking a Regional Sustainability Specialist to provide specialist environmental and energy knowledge. This role will be part of the specialist QESH team in the region, connected to the DP World Environmental team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and administration of environmental management programs to reduce the environmental impact, coordinating activities to improve environmental performance in the areas of design and construction practices and environmental activities./ppThe Regional Sustainability Specialist will ensure environmental requirements, climate data, governance, and reporting are completed to satisfy government requirements, customer requirements, and DP World requirements. This role will also be responsible for the carbon collection processes and carbon neutrality programs in the region, overseeing the regional ISO 14001 and 50001 processes, and ensuring timely completion of customer and DP World environmental reporting./ppThe ideal candidate will have a university degree in an environmental or engineering field, validated experience in data and reporting within sustainability, and strong carbon account competencies, particularly in Scope 3 accounting. The candidate should also have demonstrable skills in data handling in Excel and the ability to understand data granularity while also understanding high-level perspectives./ppbKey Responsibilities:/b/pulliDevelopment and maintenance of environmental and management systems and procedures, ensuring legal, customer, standard, and company requirements are encompassed in the design./liliSupporting data collection, calculation, analysis, and presentation of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory (Scope 1, 2, and 3) in cooperation with Group HSE./liliWorking with the region to secure higher data quality, particularly for Scope 3 data./liliSupporting the digitalization of the carbon footprint and securing customer requirements for annual reporting of qualitative and quantitative environmental data to a high standard./liliLiaising with procurement on annual renewable electricity requirements for customers./liliContributing carbon expertise to ongoing projects, such as tracking progress towards DP World carbon neutrality goals./liliEmpowering the QEHS regional teams by creating an environment that promotes positive communication, encourages collaboration, and demonstrates flexibility./liliParticipating in and administering Integrated Management Systems audits for ISO 14001 and ISO 50001./liliDesigning and developing best practice environmental procedures, ensuring these procedures are understood and implemented regionally./liliDeveloping and maintaining environmental emergency preparedness and response processes./liliProviding specialist guidance for Environmental induction for all employees./liliWorking with operational teams to improve environmental performance, reducing impacts to the environment from operational activities./liliConducting internal environmental audits, workplace inspections, and environmental tours to the prescribed frequency./liliResponsible for environmental legal compliance audits, activities including record keeping and follow-up./liliResponsible for maintaining a corporate register for environmental legal compliance in the region and communication of changes to environmental laws across the region./liliEnvironmental incident/accident investigation coordination, including record keeping of conclusions, actions, and follow-up./liliChairing environmental meetings, presenting data, recording actions, and maintaining progress on actions./liliMonitoring and reporting country and site environmental performance to local and country management and external interested parties./li
