Director - Strategy and Transformation Lead

Job Overview:

Guidehouse is seeking a Director to lead our International Energy Providers team in the Netherlands. As a key member of our Energy Providers practice, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strategic partnerships with clients in the commercial energy, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute growth strategies for our Energy Providers portfolio in the Netherlands.
  • Collaborate with local and international leadership to set and achieve business objectives.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand key challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver compelling solutions and value propositions aligned with client needs.
  • Lead opportunity origination and pursuit efforts.
  • Lead large and complex projects, including strategy, business, and technology transformation engagements.
  • Mentor and manage local staff.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in strategy management consulting or a related field with a strong professional network in the Netherlands.
  • Experience working with clients in the energy, power, and utilities or infrastructure sector.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively, with a strong eye for detail.
  • Business case or proposal leadership experience, including budget development, timeline management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong communication and narrative development skills, with the ability to synthesize and convey key insights to a range of audiences.
  • Proven team leadership experience, with the ability to manage day-to-day delivery and support career development with coaching of team members.
  • Proven experience of collaborative working in and across diverse teams to develop solutions and execute plans.
  • A strong understanding of the commercial and operational considerations required when building and scaling consulting teams.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Able to travel to client site locations within the Netherlands.
  • Right to work in the Netherlands.
  • Fluent Dutch and English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or other master's degree.
  • Willingsness to travel internationally.
