The Role

We are seeking a Workday Functional Expert who will be responsible for automating operational accounting processes with the Group Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and optimization of internal finance processes.
  • Proactive improvement of existing internal processes and development of solutions with various teams, such as Controlling & Accounting, Product, Payroll, Reporting, Human Resources, and Treasury.
  • Analysis of operational bottlenecks and automation of controls.
  • Collaboration and alignment of regional and global requirements.
  • Support and maintenance of Workday (and other applications) for finance globally.
  • Close collaboration with Finance, HR, Payroll, and procurement teams globally to gain a deep understanding of finance processes.
  • Support and challenge the finance team and the Workday Integration Specialists.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Workday functional role and reporting expertise.
  • Clear communication and presentation skills to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to work independently, delivering projects and driving forward standard methodologies.
  • Understanding of architecture principles, data models, functional interactions, privacy regulations, and security.
  • Hands-on and pragmatic approach to automation, using technologies to bring ideas to life.
  • Innovative problem-solving capabilities and initiative to drive change with others, considering downstream dependencies.
  • Detail-oriented and ensuring the integrity of changes.
  • Experience with stakeholder management.
  • Understanding of Finance and/or Accounting is a plus.
  • Experience with procurement applications such as Coupa is a plus.
