At W Amsterdam, we are seeking an Assistant Director of Finance to become an integral part of our Finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for all finance and accounting inquiries within the hotel, overseeing daily financial operations alongside the finance team.
- Lead the monthly financial closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial Profit & Loss statements and reconcile the hotel’s Balance Sheet.
- Supervise the finance team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, and Purchasing.
- Ensure adherence to internal control standards, conducting self-audits and educating team members on policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development of monthly forecasts and the annual budget.
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance to foster a supportive environment that encourages coaching and mentorship within the finance team.
- Maintain flexibility to collaborate with various departments, recognizing the importance of teamwork.
- Effective communication with team members and other departments is essential for success.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
- Valid work authorization for the Netherlands.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft is advantageous.
