We are seeking a highly motivated and talented intern to join our R&D team at Optics11 for a three-month in-person internship. The core focus of this internship will be to find an ideal balance between the damping of a mechanical transducer, optical performance, and the stability of the sensor over time and under different operational conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct laboratory tests on optical sensors to evaluate their performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Assemble and test sensor prototypes to optimize their design and functionality.
- Investigate the viscous damping of mechanical transducers and its impact on sensor performance.
- Analyze the optical performance of sensors, including losses from light propagation in fluids.
- Assess the stability of sensors over time and in different operational environments.
- Document and report findings, providing recommendations for improvements and future development.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to develop and optimize testing protocols and procedures.
- Currently pursuing a degree (BSc or MSc) in Engineering, Physics, Optics, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of fiber optics and optical sensor technologies.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to document experimental results.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
