- Contribute to projects as a subject matter expert in the domain of Human Rights and HR&E due diligence, focusing on areas like Minimum Social Safeguards in the context of EU - taxonomy, DE&I, ESRS S1-4, social impact of renewable energy projects, and the use of critical raw materials.
- Work directly with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Educate and coach KPMG colleagues on human rights-related matters, enabling them to effectively communicate the implications of human rights to clients.
- Connect with industry actors and stakeholders to advance KPMG's market presence and thought leadership in business and human rights.
This Is What You Bring:
- Significant knowledge and 10+ years of experience in the field of business and human rights.
- Strong preference for prior working experience in both consultancy and in-house roles, specifically in the Corporate Sector or Financial Sector.
- Experience in implementing relevant tools and methodologies, such as stakeholder consultations, social research, social audits, human rights and environmental risk assessments, and human rights impact assessments.
- Strong communication skills, including report writing and presenting in English and preferably Dutch.
- Experience managing global projects.
- Ability to think from multiple stakeholder perspectives.

KPMG Netherlands offers the opportunity to work with clients to identify, understand, and address their human rights in the context of the OECD Guidelines, UNGPs, current and upcoming regulation on value chain due diligence, and help them improve their overall social impact. Our team members collaborate with business, government, and not-for-profit organizations to address complex social issues, risks, and opportunities. We develop and implement practical responses to create sustainable positive change. As part of KPMG's Social Sustainability, Business and Human Rights, and Supply Chain & Operations Networks, we bring together specialists worldwide to deliver international solutions. You will work on a range of innovative services relating to social impact, human rights in business, ethical sourcing, sustainable supply chain management, social assessments, and stakeholder engagement. Together with colleagues from various countries and departments, you will build market relations and serve clients. With ESG reporting and assurance specialists, you will help clients navigate complexities related to ESRS S1-4, focusing on the identification and management of relevant risks and opportunities, as well as policies and action plans to improve social performance. This function offers numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth, creating the right environment for your development.
