The Offshore Consenting team operates internationally, engaging in all stages of the offshore wind value chain—from initial planning and tendering to project execution and ongoing operations. Our primary responsibility is to secure the necessary permits for Vattenfall's offshore wind assets while ensuring compliance throughout project lifecycles.
In the Netherlands, we are actively involved in the 1.5GW Hollandse Kust Zuid project and have recently obtained rights for the 2GW Zeevonk project. Our pipeline of future opportunities in this essential offshore wind sector is both exciting and promising.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will encompass various critical tasks, including:
Developing Consenting Strategies
Assessing permitting requirements, risks, and opportunities to inform project selection. Formulating and executing a Consenting Strategy for development projects to aid in bid preparation.Securing Permits
Identifying and communicating the applicable permits, laws, and regulations for our projects. Ensuring timely applications for and acquisition of necessary permits to facilitate smooth project execution.Ensuring Compliance
Proactively tracking and managing permit obligations and commitments. Collaborating with project teams to ensure full compliance with permit requirements. Engaging with permitting authorities as needed to support project objectives.Monitoring Regulatory Changes
Keeping abreast of regulatory developments that may impact our permits. Contributing to regulatory discussions through consultations or industry associations. Location

Qualifications
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in renewable energy, environmental science, sustainability, spatial planning, public administration, or a related field. Familiarity with (offshore) environmental and spatial planning regulations. Relevant professional experience in permit management for offshore wind projects in the Netherlands, whether in a developer, governmental, or consultancy role. Alternatively, experience in permit management within other renewable energy sectors or large infrastructure projects. Strong project management capabilities.
