Motion Controls international (MCi), a Flex company, is the global market leader in mirror glass and power-folding actuators. Currently, MCi is expanding its product portfolio to other Automotive actuation solutions such as Active Aerodynamics & Motor cooling management.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer (Support) to join our team in Woerden, Netherlands. As a Product Engineer (Support), you will be responsible for optimizing and verifying precision mechanical actuators with embedded electronics and software (smart actuators) while supporting products in series production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate project goals into cost-effective product solutions
  • Lead design, verification, and validation processes
  • Provide technical support for products in series production
  • Manage and coordinate project teams, including Product Designers and Test Engineers
  • Develop and monitor project plans with the Project Manager and stakeholders
  • Maintain product documentation throughout its lifecycle
  • Apply quality and engineering tools (ISO/TS 16949, DFSS, DFMEA, 5S) to the design process
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, customers, and suppliers
  • Oversee product transition from NPI to the support engineering team
  • Resolve customer complaints and implement product improvements
Requirements
  • Completed degree in a relevant field such as mechatronics
  • Knowledge of electronics design and simulation tools
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded software
  • Knowledge of mass PCBA & SW production techniques & controls
  • Knowledge of and experience with EMC specifications and testing is an advantage
  • Experience with Automotive standards and Quality tools (ISO/TS 16949, DFMEA, etc.) and with problem resolution tools (e.g. 8D methodology)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience in supporting mass-produced products, resolving customer complaints, addressing supply chain requests, and implementing quality and process improvements
