Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our team in the development, production, and testing of rocket ignition systems for European space rockets. As a Project Manager at APP ArianeGroup, you will be responsible for the complete life cycle of the rocket ignition systems, including team management, stakeholder management, project execution, reporting, and optimization of supply chain and manufacturing processes.
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our internal project team, consisting of purchasing, design engineers, technical specialists, and production employees, to ensure seamless collaboration and optimal performance. You will also build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team management: Manage our internal project team to ensure seamless collaboration and optimal performance.
- Stakeholder management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Project execution: Ensure that the contracted tasks are carried out within budget, according to schedule, and to the stated requirements.
- Reporting: Regular reporting to the Management Team on finances, risks, and opportunities.
- Optimization of Supply Chain and Manufacturing Processes: Establish and improve the supply chain and manufacturing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Innovation: Responsible for the implementation of innovations in the product and/or processes, continuously striving for improvements to reduce costs, shorten delivery times, and increase quality.
- Customer Interaction: Prepare and negotiate quotes with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
Requirements
To successfully fulfill this role, we believe you should have the following qualifications:
- Technical Background: A technical education at the Bachelor or Master level, gives you a solid foundation for the space industry. A technical background in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or Applied Physics is preferred.
- Experience: Relevant project management experience, preferably within similar industries such as aerospace, defense, or high-tech.
- Certification: A project management certification such as IPMA / PMI would be a strong added value.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills in English is required.
