About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our team at Technische Universiteit Delft (TU Delft) to work on a fully funded research project focused on decentralised machine learning. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a novel video search engine that eliminates the need for servers and harnesses the massive computing power available on billions of mobile devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a decentralised machine learning system that enables users to take control of their data and build better and more personalised services.
  • Develop a video search engine that showcases the viability of decentralised machine learning and its potential to benefit billions of users.
  • Collaborate with our team of developers, postdocs, PhD candidates, academic staff, and ethicist to advance the state-of-the-art in decentralised machine learning.
  • Coach master students and participate in relevant communities to promote the research and its applications.
