Climate and Nature Investment Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Climate and Nature Investment Strategist to join our team at APG. As a key member of our Responsible Investment (RI) Strategy & Partnerships team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our climate and nature strategy and ensuring its successful implementation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive climate and nature strategy that aligns with APG's overall corporate strategy and client objectives.
- Collaborate with the multi-asset team to embed climate and nature considerations into portfolio monitoring and steering.
- Work closely with the RI Strategy & Partnerships Manager and MD RI Strategy & Partnerships to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization.
- Stay up-to-date with market developments, regulatory initiatives, and new methodologies to inform our climate and nature strategy.
- Facilitate knowledge exchange sessions with external speakers on key transition topics and foster external relationships to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a relevant field (advisory, strategy, finance, business management, sustainability).
- At least 10 years of experience in the RI and investment industry.
- Demonstrable climate and nature expertise.
- Experience in policy engagement is desirable.
- Exceptional problem-solving, structuring, and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify new opportunities and build initiatives out of them (innovation).
- Strong communication, cross-functional relationship building, and influencing skills.
- Collaborative team player with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to thrive in an environment of constant change.
- Alignment with APG values.
- Excellent command of English.
