Global Climate, Nature and Data Manager

Location: Amsterdam

The Climate, Nature and Data Manager will be part of the Sustainability Office and play a crucial role in understanding Coty's impact on nature and biodiversity, designing the nature strategy and setting up the designated reporting processes in the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Global Director of Climate & Environment in driving the company's sustainability agenda.
  • Identify opportunities and develop nature- and biodiversity-related targets and strategies.
  • Collaborate with external subject-matter experts to assess nature risks and opportunities.
  • Design and implement reporting processes for nature KPIs.
  • Co-design the climate adaptation strategy and track progress.
  • Support the procurement team in responsible sourcing for deforestation and land-related topics.
  • Manage climate and nature data at Coty.
  • Lead climate and nature reporting in CDP and support the sustainability office in the annual reporting cycle.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and international environment, driving change and transformation in a complex, multinational company. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental sustainability, with experience in complex data management and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or master's degree in an environmental sustainability-related discipline or equivalent qualification.
  • 5+ years' experience in a complex, multinational company, preferably in Consumer goods, Beauty, Food or agriculture industries.
  • Good expertise related to nature and biodiversity, including knowledge of SBTn and TNFD frameworks.
  • Knowledge of carbon accounting and understanding of governing standards and regulations.
  • Good understanding of global trends and environmental regulations related to nature, deforestation and land management.
  • Knowledge of and access to important biodiversity standards, networks, and platforms.
  • Capable of synthesizing complex data, simplifying it and translating it to internal senior leaders to drive business decisions.
  • Knowledge of various reporting platforms.
