Job Title: Global Specification Technologist China Market

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Specification Technologist to join our team in the China Market. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of ingredients in Chinese projects, ensuring the latest GB and/or China registration requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and evaluate documentation for ingredients, including specifications, GB agreements, certificates of compliance, and supplier material specifications.
  • Collect and analyze ingredients data for recipe design and compliance.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, labs, and ingredients portfolio owners.
  • Provide on-site audit support, preparing and presenting ingredients management standards and verification materials.
  • Implement ingredient dual sourcing for productivity and security in the China Market.
  • Troubleshoot short-term and long-term solutions.
  • Utilize tools such as Asana and Power BI dashboards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in food science, technology, quality and food safety, pharmaceuticals, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in ingredient, quality and food safety, and/or regulation, preferably with ingredient specification management experience.
  • Basic understanding of business needs, marketing, finance, nutrition, and sensory evaluations.
  • Ability to collate and interpret analytical data and information.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to manage changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Pragmatic approach to solve complex processes and situations.
  • Knowledge and experience in Chinese GB related to food materials and GMP.
  • Good skills in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Fluent English and Chinese in both writing and speaking.
What We Offer:
  • Temporary contract through our agency.
  • Salary around €3000-€4000 gross a month based on education and experience.
  • 30 annual leave days.
  • Travel expenses covered.
