As a Chief Sustainability Data Strategist, you will be part of the Royal BAM strategy team, advising senior leaders on strategic direction with a focus on sustainability.

You will lead non-financial data consolidation, reporting, and support strategic implementation with data-driven insights.

Collaborating with sustainability officers, you'll develop and refine data processes, generate management information, and recommend improvements to sustainability reporting.

We prioritize safety, health, diversity, and human rights, challenging you to help shape our evolving strategy by managing initiatives and setting future targets.

You will validate, process, and report non-financial data, for example, in quarterly reports and BAM's Integrated Report.

You will establish and maintain collaborative relationships with BAM's operating companies on topics such as sustainability and safety.

You will inform management on progress towards targets and advise on future target setting and strategy development.

You will stay up-to-date with developments in non-financial trends and regulations, such as the EU taxonomy and CSRD, and adjust and improve reporting processes accordingly.

You will contribute to improving the reporting of scope 3 CO2 emissions (emissions within BAM's value chain) and consolidate achieved scope 3 CO2 emission reductions.

You will conduct data analysis to identify trends and overarching data insights.

You will support BAM's participation in sustainability benchmarks (e.g., CDP).

In return, we offer a salary between €4,170 and €5,200 gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience.

This includes good secondary employment conditions, reimbursement of travel costs, and a laptop and iPhone.

We also offer a unique opportunity to develop yourself broadly, where you can stay informed of the latest techniques and knowledge through our own 'BAM Learning'.

To be successful in this role, you should have an MSc or equivalent qualification relevant to analysing data.

You should have 2-5 years of relevant work experience and knowledge of or experience with non-financial reporting requirements.

You should be passionate about sustainability analytics and business improvements.

You should have excellent analytical and data manipulation skills.

You should have knowledge of and/or be eager to learn more about analytical/statistical software (SAP-BPC, Excel, Power BI).

You should be able to work within a team environment and as an individual with minimal supervision (self-starter).

You should be fluent in English and Dutch.
