About the Role
The Team Manager for Specialty Engineering will lead a team of specialists in a motivating and inspiring way. With experience and knowledge, you will work closely with the team, empowering them to work independently while providing guidance when needed.
The team consists of 30 specialists, divided into four sub-teams, each with its own specialties and dynamics. Your primary role is to enable your team members to do their job, ensuring they have the necessary skills to meet the demand. You will work on capacity planning, development, and coaching of your team members, budget management, and stay updated on the status of your team's expert areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Specialty Engineering team to achieve its goals and objectives.
- Work closely with the team to understand their challenges and provide guidance and support.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and productivity.
- Manage the team's budget and resources effectively.
- Stay updated on the status of your team's expert areas and initiate process improvements and changes as needed.
Requirements
- Clear sense of how to leverage your personality, knowledge, and experience to bring out the best in others and yourself.
- Ability to set the direction, provide energy, and connect with your team.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills towards stakeholders.
- Analytical and solution-focused.
- Solid engineering background and familiarity with system engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, and verification principles.
- High level of creativity, initiative, pragmatism, and persuasiveness.
- Experience in people management, team management, and understanding the challenges a team of specialists faces.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
