About the role
The Retail Sales Leader develops and executes retail sales targets by brand and store, managing beauty experts and developing top door strategies in conjunction with the Sales Manager. This role requires strong business partnerships, competitor and market awareness, and strategies to outgrow competitors.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and plan strong implementation plans for staff coverage across all retail locations, focusing on top doors.
- Implement strategies to ensure targets are achieved and exceeded, monitoring key success metrics.
- Actively exploit business opportunities to deliver stretch plans and persevere during challenging times.
- Make recommendations to Sales Manager and Brand Managers on yearly targets and on-store site selection.
- Attract, lead, and develop the team to achieve sales plans and deliver high-touch customer service.
- Set the tone for excellence in execution in all field staff, actively role modeling effective selling techniques.
- Develop and upskill the team in retail management techniques and drive commercial performance improvement.
- Ensure operational efficiencies and completion of procedures according to retail regional and affiliate retail guidelines, brand guidelines, and company standards.
- Ensure all activities respect brand standards and visual integrity of stores.
Requirements
- Entrepreneurial mindset with operational experience.
- Excellent written and spoken communications in English and Dutch.
- Proven retail/sales and people management experience in an omnichannel consumer-driven environment, preferably in the cosmetics & beauty industry.
- Good usage of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Result and sales-oriented, passion for the product, hands-on approach, pragmatic & flexible, driven challenge seeker.
- Organizational skills and ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels.
