Company Overview
Damen Shipyards is a leading ship repair and conversion company with 12 global locations. We offer a unique opportunity to join our team as a Project Cost Estimator, working closely with our commercial manager and sales teams to create accurate estimates for various projects.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is approximately €45,000 - €55,000 per year, depending on experience, plus an 8% holiday allowance. Our employees also enjoy 27 vacation days, 13 ADV (reduction of working hours) days based on full-time employment, and a PME pension scheme with an employer contribution of 60%. Additionally, we offer profit-sharing based on company results and a challenging position with growth opportunities.

Job Description
As a Project Cost Estimator at Damen Shipyards, you will be responsible for preparing estimates for potential assignments, collaborating with project-related departments to share/obtain necessary information, and conducting inspections on-site of the object to be repaired/converted. Your tasks will include independently preparing estimates based on your own work or that of subcontractors, or a combination of both, for potential assignments; preparing cost price calculations for all types of ships, ranging from minor repairs to full conversions based on customer requirements; and working with the tender teams for large projects to develop a complete proposal.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree (MBO+/HBO) level of thinking & working, a background in Naval Architecture, Maritime Officer, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable (technical) study and/or experience in these areas, knowledge of ship construction and repair techniques, knowledge of/experience with the estimation/sales process, analytical skills and a flexible attitude, and verbal and written proficiency in English, and preferably some Dutch knowledge.
