About the Role

As a Data Centre Critical Facilities Engineer at Equinix, you will be responsible for maintaining the facility infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our data centres. This is a critical role that requires a substantial understanding of standard operating procedures and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform site inspections and monitor building and data centre alarms
  • Ensure preventative maintenance on site infrastructure is carried out
  • Maintain repairs and run corrective maintenance on equipment
  • Prepare and carry out planned maintenance
  • Complete site logs and data gathering, including MOPs and scripts
  • Assist more senior staff with responding to on-site incidents

Requirements

  • Vocational or Higher Vocational education qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Comprehensive knowledge of critical infrastructure, including UPS, generator, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems
  • Previous hands-on experience in engineering, preferably in a critical facilities environment
