LyondellBasell is seeking a highly skilled Tax Planning Manager EAI to join our Global Tax Planning and Counsel team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing tax optimization and risk mitigation strategies across the EAI region.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tax advice to EAI business segments and establish relationships with key stakeholders to identify tax value-enhancing opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Develop and implement global tax planning and risk mitigation strategies, including legal entity simplification, business synergies, and tax optimization.
- Lead cross-border projects and multi-jurisdiction restructuring initiatives to support commercial and operating model changes.
- Develop and implement tax controversy strategies across common issues in the EAI region and collaborate with local country tax managers to identify and implement guidelines and process improvements.
- Drive the tax policy monitoring and advocacy agenda for the EAI region, monitoring local direct tax, European, and international developments, and disseminating relevant knowledge across the tax team and other key stakeholders.
- 8-10 years of experience in the Big Four or corporate multinational environment with exposures to International and European Corporate Income Tax and other tax matters across different European countries.
- Master's degree in Tax/International Taxation or equivalent level of education/Qualified as a Tax Lawyer or equivalent in one large European country (NL, UK, Germany, France preferred).
- Excellent tax technical and analytical skills, with specific and extensive experience in dealing with European and international cross-border issues and various types of legal and business structures.
- Experience in managing people and/or projects with functional or cross-functional lines, with fluency in English and another European language.
