Our Salary Package

  • A competitive salary based on the position and your experience: €70,000 - €100,000 per annum

Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Please note that this role requires a full-time presence on-site in the Groningen area. We are seeking Senior Quantity Surveyors/Cost Managers to act as the day-to-day interface with our clients driving projects to achieve an excellent outcome.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide estimate and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan
  • Estimate at conceptual, programming, and detailed levels
  • Assist on feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
  • Perform all aspects of procurement, including managing the pre-qualification stage, bid list, bid analysis, bid report, and contractual documents
  • Participate effectively in post-contract cost variances and change control processes, referring major changes to line managers when necessary
  • Manage cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuation process
  • Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present to clients
  • Contribute to value engineering, negotiating and approving final accounts
  • Maintain liaison with clients and other consultants throughout project stages
  • Lead the cost management team, ensuring delivery of accountabilities and identifying opportunities for new business with existing clients
  • Enhance cost management procedures, templates, and products, referring ideas to line managers


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Good technical experience in all cost management areas; pre-contract, post-contract, and final account
  • Familiarity with mechanical, process, electrical, and plumbing systems relevant to construction projects
  • Experience leading cost management on medium to large-sized construction projects with moderate to high complexity
  • Prior experience in commercial, data center, high-tech, healthcare, manufacturing industries preferred
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and collaborate within a team environment
  • RICS accredited or working towards membership in a Professional Institute
  • Fluent English and Dutch language proficiency; EU passport holder is preferred
