About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud FinOps Engineer to join our team at NN. As a Cloud FinOps Engineer, you will play a key role in optimizing our cloud costs and ensuring that our financial operations are running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze cloud consumption and create insights for our customers through dashboards in our cloud cost management tool Cloudability.
  • Work closely with our cloud engineers to deliver a future-proof IT infrastructure within NN.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies to reduce our cloud expenses.
  • Collaborate with our teams to ensure that our financial operations are aligned with our business goals.

Requirements

  • Experience in AWS and/or Azure Cloud.
  • Experience with tooling like PowerBI and scripting languages like PowerShell and Python.
  • Understanding of cloud cost models and cloud cost management tools like Cloudability.
  • FinOps Practitioner Certificate is preferred or willingness to obtain it within 3 months.
  • Strong analytical and solution-oriented capabilities and a strong customer focus.

Your First Week

During your first week, you will be introduced to our team and our company culture. You will receive a personal welcome from your manager, pick up your laptop at the IT Service Desk, and attend onboarding sessions to get familiar with our company and our values.

What You Bring

As a Cloud FinOps Engineer, you have the opportunity to fully master the financial domain within the cloud. With a curious and driven attitude, you can achieve a lot. You bring the following points with you based on interest or previous experience:

  • Experience in AWS and/or Azure Cloud.
  • Experience with tooling like PowerBI and scripting languages like PowerShell and Python.
  • Understanding of cloud cost models and cloud cost management tools like Cloudability.
  • FinOps Practitioner Certificate is preferred or willingness to obtain it within 3 months.
  • Strong analytical and solution-oriented capabilities and a strong customer focus.

You Will Work With

The NN Public Cloud Domain consists of the AWS, Azure, Container, and CI/CD platform teams. The teams are working hard to deliver a future-proof IT infrastructure within NN and FinOps is playing an increasingly important role in this. That is why we are looking for a third Cloud FinOps Engineer. You work closely with the cloud engineers and the teams lean on your financial expertise. There is an open and pleasant working atmosphere within the domain where team outings are often organized. You like to seek contact with your colleagues but are also comfortable with working independently.
