PhD Researcher in Electromagnetic Compatibility

The Power Electronics and Electromagnetic Compatibility Group at the University of Twente is seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to work on the project "Effective Aperture of Openings of Systems in Reverberant Environments" within the EU Horizon 2020 Marie Skødowska-Curie Project NEPIT - Network for Evaluation of Propagation and Interference Training.

About the Project

This project aims to develop validated models to predict electromagnetic coupling into and out of random apertures and wires using Monte-Carlo deterministic and statistical techniques for electromagnetic waves. The research will focus on developing a general model for complex, electrically large apertures that can be applied to various fields, including airplane structures and automotive windows.

Your Profile
  • You have a master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • You have a background in physical electronics, analytical mathematics, and simulation.
  • You are an excellent teammate and can work collaboratively with industrial and academic parties.
  • You are proficient in English and can communicate effectively.
Our Offer

As a PhD researcher at the University of Twente, you will be appointed on a full-time position for four years with a qualifier in the first year. You will receive a salary ranging from €2,770 to €3,539 per month, depending on your experience.
