Hotel Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced maintenance employee to join our maintenance team at MEININGER Hotel Amsterdam City West.

The Company

MEININGER is a unique hotel chain that combines the service and comfort of a budget hotel with an extraordinary interior. Our hotels are located in different European cities and offer a central location, qualitative high-grade interior, and fair prices.

Your Tasks

  • Perform visual checks of communal areas and hotel grounds, execute exchange of wear and tear parts, basic repairs, and small painting works.
  • Monitor and maintain utility areas and equipment.
  • Work closely with FM contractors and FM department to develop and execute maintenance plans.
  • Be responsible for and keep stock of all maintenance inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Respond to customer and management inquiries and requests and document them accordingly.
  • Be accountable for the interior and exterior cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel.
  • Be flexible and understand that working in the hotel industry occasionally can mean having to work during weekends and on public holidays.
  • Have experience with preventive maintenance processes.

Your Profile

  • Have a technical background or education, relevant practical experience is a plus.
  • Enjoy helping people and getting things done.
  • Work efficiently and independently, organizing multiple projects, tasks, and activities.
  • Enjoy a diverse working environment and be flexible to work weekdays and weekends.
  • Be fluent in English and preferably in Dutch.
