Hotel Maintenance and Repair Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hotel Maintenance and Repair Technician to join our team at MEININGER Hotel Amsterdam City West.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular visual checks of communal areas and hotel grounds to identify and address any maintenance issues.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks, including the replacement of wear and tear parts, basic repairs, and small painting works.
  • Monitor and maintain utility areas and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with FM contractors and the FM department to develop and implement maintenance plans.
  • Manage and maintain stock of maintenance inventory, supplies, and equipment.
  • Respond to customer and management inquiries and requests, documenting all interactions accordingly.
  • Ensure the interior and exterior cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel, adhering to high standards of quality and safety.
  • Be flexible and willing to work weekends and public holidays as needed.
  • Have experience with preventive maintenance processes and a strong understanding of technical principles.
Requirements:
  • Technical background or education, with relevant practical experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • Fluency in English and preferably in Dutch, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
