About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Post-doc Researcher to join our team at VU Amsterdam. The successful candidate will contribute to our research project on the plasticity of the predictive mind using meditation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a thorough review of existing literature and generate innovative ideas for research
  • Co-design and implement new experiments, collect and analyze data
  • Curate and report on research findings in local meetings and international conferences
  • Write scientific articles and assist in teaching activities within the department
  • Contribute to the team's research goals and objectives
Requirements
  • PhD in Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, or a related field
  • Clear affinity with the topic of meditation and predictive processing
  • Experience in designing and interpreting cognitive experiments and quantitative research methods
  • Excellent programming skills in Python, Matlab, or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills
  • Strong team player with good communicative abilities

  • A salary of minimum € 3,000.00 (Scale 10) and maximum € 5,000.00 (Scale 10) gross per month, on a full-time basis
  • A position for 1 FTE, with an employment contract lasting 18 months
