Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to head our global supply quality management efforts. As the Senior Director of Supplier Quality Management (SQM), you will be responsible for leading our strategy on Danone's supplier quality management programs.

This role is crucial in ensuring conformity to our internal quality and food safety standards, designed to deliver products that meet consumer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Leadership and Capability Development: Develop suppliers to meet Danone's category-specific requirements, leveraging SME expertise to drive business growth.
  • Design and Execute SQM Programs: Ensure robust program design, effective execution, and continuous improvement, resulting in high-quality products.
  • Lead Global SQM Networks: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business targets, including improvement roadmaps, scale/scope development, and preferred supplier partnerships.
  • Oversee Compliance: Ensure adherence to Danone's SQM standards, including escalation procedures, and represent the QFS function in senior management forums.
Main Interactions:
  • Internal Partnerships: Collaborate with Cycles & Procurement, Worldwide CBU network, Danone Food Safety Center, Category leaders, senior management forums, governance, and QFS board.
  • External Relationships: Engage with external suppliers of raw materials and packaging, other food companies with Danone partnerships, manufacturing, and lab equipment suppliers.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strategic Vision and Business Acumen: Contribute significantly to business strategy, driving growth and improvement through innovation and risk management.
  • Senior Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Problem-Solving and Negotiation: Apply problem-solving skills, negotiation techniques, conflict management, and continuous improvement to drive results.
  • Maturity and Team Empowerment: Demonstrate maturity in dealing with ambiguity while adhering to Danone's values and high standards, empowering team members to excel.
Key Metrics:
  • Product Concession Requests: Minimize product concession requests through proactive issue resolution and supplier partnership development.
  • Supplier Quality Metrics: Drive improvements in supplier quality metrics, such as defect rates, audit fulfillment, and compliance levels.
  • Strategic Project Delivery: Successfully complete strategic transformation projects, demonstrating commitment to business objectives.

Requirements:
A Master's degree in Food Technology, Engineering, or Quality Management, combined with 15-20 years of relevant experience, is required for this role.
