About the Role
This position is a vital part of the Indirects Procurement Leadership team. The role provides direction to the Global Functional/Corporate Services Purchasing Team, which comprises 8 to 10 sourcing professionals located across various regions. Key areas of support include, but are not limited to: IT, Human Resources, Insurance, Legal, Marketing and Communications, Travel and Expense.
In your future role as Global Procurement Category Manager, you will
Spearhead the formulation and execution of effective sourcing and category management strategies. Drive the establishment and enhancement of standardized sourcing processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Identify industry best practices and benchmarks. Cultivate and maintain comprehensive market knowledge within your areas of responsibility. Develop the organization to pinpoint improvement opportunities, explore cost-saving avenues, and implement a total cost of ownership approach both internally and with external suppliers. Proactively enhance commercial terms with suppliers, identifying strategies to minimize expenditures and reduce costs to align with the company's financial goals. Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to build consensus around objectives and create unified execution plans that support business growth and profitability enhancement. Extensive experience in procurement and/or a functional (corporate service) role. Proven change management skills: managing improvement initiatives with diverse teams while addressing the cultural aspects of change. Experience in Sourcing, including Strategic Sourcing Methodology and contract management. A university bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field applicable to the categories of management.Great if you have
Experience (direct/indirect) interacting with sales and customer service organizations. Strong project management expertise, particularly with lean management methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.We believe you are a results-oriented individual who relentlessly pursues high standards and fosters a culture of ownership and accountability.
