Treasury Analyst Job Description

At AbbVie, we are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in managing our company's cash flow and financial risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cash Flow Management: Prepare and analyze cash flow positioning and forecasts to ensure affiliates have sufficient cash to meet their obligations.
  • Trade Requests: Review and submit trade requests to the Central Treasury Unit (CTU) in Chicago, working closely with the Treasury Lead.
  • Netting Process: Monitor and manage the monthly netting process for countries in scope, including hedge requests as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Proactively collaborate with affiliates, FSS, and VLOG FX hedging teams to identify potential foreign currency exposure and assess materiality.
  • Financial and Risk Assessments: Assist with periodic financial and risk assessments, including thin capitalization, credit limits, and trade finance flows.
  • Payment Management: Manage manual payment requests in SAP and banking portals, ensuring compliance with PTP processes.
  • Payroll Support: Support the team with payroll-related activities.
  • Bank Relationships: Collaborate with banks to follow up on open items, resolve issues, and coordinate smooth transaction execution.
  • Centralization Activities: Work with the Treasury Support team on centralization activities, including payments, E-banking administration, KYC, and audit requests.
  • Account Signatories: Update account signatories, including annual recertifications, and work with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance.
  • Treasury Support: Provide key support to Affiliate Finance teams and FSS on all Treasury-related topics.
  • Project Participation: Participate in and actively support various Treasury and cross-functional projects.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: Three to four years of Finance/Accounting experience, preferably with experience in Treasury.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a working knowledge of SAP Treasury module and Microsoft Excel.
  • Work Environment: Hybrid working model (3 days in the office).
