Job Summary

This is a full-time role responsible for the processing of import shipments and all related activities for an assigned base of accounts. The successful candidate will perform duties related to import documentation review, entry filing preparation for EU Customs release, and customs release coordination affecting timely delivery.

Main Responsibilities
  • Receive, review, and process import documentation for an assigned base of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Obtain and process Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate, arranging delivery, and invoicing the import accounts to their SOP.
  • Monitor transactions and notify supervisory personnel of any problem or irregularities, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Provide excellent and timely client service by informing the client of the status of their shipment(s), building strong relationships.
  • Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier, customs or other governmental agency examinations that may be required, ensuring seamless delivery.
  • Update key milestones in a timely manner, based on the customer's needs, maintaining transparency.
  • Be available in a shift pattern, weekends and evenings, to accommodate business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
  • Excellent client service skills, responding promptly and professionally to client needs and requests for service and assistance.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of EU currency, weight, volume and distance measurements, with a strong understanding of trade regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine correspondence, with attention to detail.
  • Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Accurate and reliable, with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in relevant software and systems.
Physical Requirements

This role may require extended sitting or standing and use of standard office equipment, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
