We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Computational Biologist to join our team at the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) at HKU. As a key member of our research team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and work with a talented group of scientists.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced analytics tools for analyzing multi-omics data
- Develop and optimize analysis pipelines to support research projects
- Collaborate with researchers to deliver expert informatics solutions and provide guidance to a team of bioinformatics professionals
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in bioinformatics and computational biology and apply this knowledge to improve our research
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in data analytics and bioinformatics
- Proficiency in programming languages like R, Python, or similar
- Background in single cell multi-omics or genomic data analysis preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
