Senior Static Equipment Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Static Equipment Engineer to join our team at SABIC. As a key member of our Asset Engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and integrity of our static equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and analyze static asset performance to predict equipment failures and proactively address them through effective equipment strategy.
- Conduct investigations and failure analysis to identify root causes and develop recommendations to ensure optimum equipment integrity.
- Perform technical studies and coordinate with the Inspection department and Operations and Maintenance teams to address unexpected failures or breakdowns of static equipment.
- Develop and review static equipment integrity strategies, including RBI and RCM methodologies, and ensure their implementation across the organization.
- Support project and turnaround scope development, review, and execution for all static equipment, providing technical expertise and recommendations as needed.
- Evaluate projects to ensure potential corrosion and materials issues are addressed, balancing technical and business requirements with stakeholder input.
- Implement best practices, technical alerts, and SABIC manufacturing standards for static equipment.
- Contribute to the development of PM strategies for static equipment in alignment with the Inspection department.
- Develop multi-year asset replacement investment plans for static equipment, incorporating inspection results and recommendations.
- Participate in or lead CDP preparation as a team member.
- Contribute technical expertise in team workshops, such as RCA, RCM, PHA, and MOC Committee.
- Stay up-to-date with legal requirements related to static equipment.
- Facilitate asset integrity meetings with the Inspection department and plant operation teams.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in reliability, maintenance, and/or engineering in the oil and gas, petrochemical, and/or energy production industry.
- Strong knowledge of integrity analysis tools and methodologies for static equipment.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards, particularly in advanced technology, corrosion, and metallurgy.
- Understanding of welding, materials, corrosion, and damage mechanisms in petrochemical industries.
- Risk-based analytical mindset and experience in facilitating and chairing multi-disciplinary meetings.
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including stakeholder management.
- Flexible and pragmatic approach to achieving company targets.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to work collaboratively in a team and across multiple departments.
