About the Role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role is a field-based scientific expert within the Immunology team focusing on rheumatology. As the leading local scientific expert for UCB in the therapeutic area, you will engage in scientific discussions, presentations, and responses to unsolicited questions. Your core content will include topics of unmet medical needs that are of scientific and developmental importance to UCB in immunology.

Key Responsibilities
- Agile and proactive identification and management of key scientific and medical influencers based on local ecosystem dynamics.
- Exploration and identification of new sources of patient value by placing the holistic disease burden of people suffering from chronic immune-mediated inflammatory diseases high on healthcare's agenda.
- Management and generation of product/disease state data (Phase III/IV, IIS, audits, RWE, etc.).
- Partnership with key clinical KOLs, payers, patient organizations, and patients to advance medical initiatives and drive optimal patient care.

Requirements
- MSc within the field of Immunology/Life Sciences, PhD in immunology is a plus.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills, with proficiency in local language Dutch and English (written and spoken).
- Work experience as MSL is required, with launch experience being a significant advantage.
- Proven track-record of working with biologics within immunology, preferably in rheumatology or dermatology.
- Business acumen with a good understanding and holistic view of the local healthcare ecosystem.
- Influencing skills, with the ability to build trust, stay consistent, and be assertive in a considerate way.
- Ability to lead and manage projects.
