IT Support Specialist

Avantium is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance to end-users with hardware, software, and network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle client requests and inquiries via the service desk ticketing system, email, Teams, or phone calls.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting to determine the degree of support required.
- Escalate tickets for Level-2 support when necessary.
- Identify and follow-up on stuck or stale tickets and issues which require attention or responses from end-users or Level-2 support.
- Address problems such as login issues and hardware or system confirmation.
- Assist users in understanding and using IT provided systems and applications effectively.
- Assisting new users with their new IT equipment and getting them comfortable using IT systems as well as ensuring that departing users return their equipment in good time.
- Deployment of laptops, mobile phones, headsets and other IT end-user equipment.
- Cataloguing and maintaining an IT endpoint asset inventory.
Requirements:
- Minimum MBO level 3 or equivalent qualification in an IT related field.
- A keen ability and willingness to learn and proactively solve problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. Dutch is beneficial.
- A customer-centric approach with the ability to provide friendly assistance.
- Ability to document issues accurately and follow established procedures.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware.
- Clear and concise communication with end-users.
