Job Summary
We're looking for a Tax Accountant to join our Group Finance team in Amsterdam, focused on maintaining and analyzing general ledgers for the LATAM region. This role involves creating bridges between Financial Control and Tax for multiple entities within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit tax filings and regulatory filings for LATAM entities, including working with accounting data.
- Prepare tax accounting documentation for internal and external stakeholders, such as external auditors.
- Perform general accounting functions, including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist the tax team in tax audits and respond to tax inquiries.
- Drive automation to streamline core functions and improve accuracy, assisting in process improvement and systems enhancement.
Requirements
- Fluent in English and Portuguese is mandatory.
- Previous experience with Brazilian federal taxes is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or Taxation (Commerce).
- Experience in financial control/accounting within Brazil; experience outside of Brazil/LATAM is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset.
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously with ability to work independently and prioritize.
