Job Summary
We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Group Finance team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial control and accounting, with experience in regulatory reporting.
The Financial Controller will be responsible for owning the trial balance(s) for the LATAM region and supporting regulatory compliance with recent payment licenses. The role will involve interacting and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support our continued business growth in a scalable, controlled, and compliant way.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements for Latin America entities.
- Collaborate with Group Finance teams and stakeholders outside of Finance to manage the general ledger, including working with Accounts Payable Accountant and Tax Accountant to ensure completion of monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
- Review OPEX variance analysis during the month-end close process.
- Prepare Regulatory Reports to the Central Bank.
- Provide support during internal and external audits.
- Assist in process improvement and systems enhancement to drive initiatives that help scale the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial control/accounting, with experience in regulatory reporting preferred.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or Taxation (Commerce).
