Job Title: Senior Product Designer

We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Product Designer to join our team and shape the future of our applications. As a Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and appealing user experiences for our applications. You will work closely with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to design features that meet both user needs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design of user interfaces and experiences for our applications;
  • Coach and mentor other members of the Design team;
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience;
  • Translate complex user flows and interactions into simple, elegant solutions;
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative user research to inform design decisions;
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that clearly illustrate how the product works and looks;
  • Ensure design consistency and quality across all products by adhering to brand guidelines;
  • Be responsible for the further development of the BAS Design System;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies, and integrate best practices into design processes.

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio that showcases your design process and solutions;
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar;
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, design thinking, and user-centered design;
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, particularly with product managers and developers;
  • Ability to balance user needs with business objectives to create innovative, practical designs;
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and verbal;
  • Experience conducting user research and applying insights to design;
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS;
  • A relevant education at HBO (Higher Professional Education) or WO (University) level (Interactive Design, Communication & Multimedia Design).
