Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer

Job Summary:

Greif is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at the Global Operations Group based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will provide engineering support, design, and implementation of machine control systems to support projects for our EMEA manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop machine and line control systems in response to new products or manufacturing process requirements.
  • Project study, calculations, and concept and detail design and documentation of machine and line control systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for the Greif drum manufacturing facilities on machine and process control systems.
  • Provide project coordination and assist with installation and troubleshooting as required.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation in accordance with OSG procedures and CE machine directive.
  • Monitor and maintain current engineering knowledge in developing technologies and practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in design of machine control systems - hardware and software. Project scope ranging from single machine to production line integration.
  • Strong computer skills, PLC and HMI programming knowledge, and project-organization skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Systems and how to apply this in own work area (SMED, RCPS).
  • Good knowledge of English language.
  • Documentation of design and reporting.
  • Second (or 3rd) language to work with customers and vendors and interpret information a plus.
  • Hands-on experience – hardware and software of machine control systems.
