Senior Specialty Coffee Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Specialty Coffee Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Attesa Coffee, a leading specialty green coffee sourcing and distribution company headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sensory evaluation of coffee and experience with structured coffee cupping and green coffee evaluation. Industry qualification, such as Q Grader, is preferred.
This is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a young and dynamic international team and gain core knowledge and workings of coffee importing/sourcing. As a key member of our team, you will oversee our coffee quality control processes, evaluating green coffee quality, managing coffee samples, and ensuring high standards are maintained across all our products.
Responsibilities- Coffee Quality Evaluation: Observe, measure and record needed aspects of the coffee (color, moisture content, green coffee odor, sample roasting details/observations, and other information required).
- Cupping and Sampling: Effectively sample roast to the established protocols for evaluation purposes, set up clean cupping sessions (tastings) to standard, cup coffees using agreed upon protocols, and capture results in database.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and report coffee sample inventory to avoid waste and losses, prepare and ship samples to customers in a timely and cost-efficient manner, and communicate supply needs.
- Data Analysis: Record and analyze data from quality tests and inspections, prepare reports summarizing coffee quality, and provide improvement recommendations.
- A strong understanding of sensory evaluation of coffee and experience with structured coffee cupping and green coffee evaluation.
- Industry qualification, such as Q Grader, is preferred.
- Solid understanding of roasting concepts and previous experience in a purchasing, administrative or logistics position is highly desirable.
- Experience with excel spreadsheets and database management is essential.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English and based in Poland.
- A competitive salary of approximately $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
