As a CNC Machining Specialist, you will engage in the precision machining of critical engine components such as engine blocks, camshafts, and cylinder heads. Candidate Profile

We seek a skilled Operator who thrives in a dynamic machine park within the engine plant.

  • Experience in operating and adjusting CNC-controlled machinery is essential
  • Prior experience in machining operations, particularly milling and turning, is preferred
  • A technical education background is required
  • Relevant work experience as an operator is necessary
  • Proficiency in English or Dutch is required
Key Responsibilities

In the machining department, various engine components are produced using state-of-the-art CNC machines. Each section is equipped with specialized machines dedicated to specific parts, such as cylinder heads, camshafts, or engine blocks. As a CNC Operator, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Executing machining operations utilizing CNC technology
  • Common processes include milling, turning, drilling, tapping, and grinding
  • Collaborating with colleagues to operate machines, load programs, change tools, and troubleshoot issues
  • Ensuring optimal production flow and meeting established production targets
  • Participating in quality control by measuring and inspecting parts

The work schedule operates in three shifts: day (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), evening (3:30 PM - 12:00 AM), and night (12:00 AM - 7:00 AM).

Work Environment

The DAF production facility is expansive, located just outside the city center. Spanning approximately 900,000 m², it employs over 7,000 individuals. In 2021, the site achieved a remarkable production milestone of 60,000 trucks, and DAF's latest truck generation has been recognized as the 'International Truck of the Year 2022'.
