Public Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)

The Deutsche Bundesbank is a unique institution, playing a crucial role in the European System of Central Banks and financial stability. We are a team of professionals dedicated to creating the technical IT conditions for a stable euro and other central bank tasks. As a Public Cloud Engineer, you will be part of our agile interdisciplinary public cloud team, providing services for the Bundesbank's public cloud.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and configure landing zones in the public cloud, including networks, gateways, load balancers, firewalls, storage, databases, and managed services, with a focus on automation.
  • Support other teams in migrating workloads to the public cloud and take on operational tasks for public cloud services.
  • Coordinate with internal and external experts to fulfill tasks and increasingly use agile working methods and approaches.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a comparable degree program with an IT focus or equivalent knowledge from many years of professional experience.
  • Good knowledge and several years of experience in IT engineering.
  • Very good knowledge and experience in planning and providing services in cloud environments, including landing zones.
  • Good knowledge and experience in operating IT infrastructure products and with a cloud service provider, preferably with Microsoft Azure.
  • Good knowledge of and experience with modern infrastructure and system deployment concepts, container platforms, and different cloud models.
  • Knowledge and experience in automating tasks, such as with Terraform.
  • Knowledge of agile methods in IT engineering, such as DevOps.
  • Analytical and conceptual skills, independent working style, and good communication skills.
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills.
