Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a fantastic hotel in the Schiphol Airport area. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and working closely with the Executive Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of chefs to maintain high standards of quality and service.
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and execute special events, banquets, and catering services.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, HACCP regulations, and food safety guidelines.
- Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and materials.
- Monitor and control kitchen expenses to achieve budget targets.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a 4 or 5-star hotel or restaurant.
- Proven track record of leading and managing a team to achieve high standards of quality and service.
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and cooking methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
