About the Role

The Senior Chemical Scientist will contribute to the development of new ideas and concepts in the field of plasma processing. This role involves planning and conducting experiments, evaluating and interpreting results, and deploying new concepts and improvements in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and introduce chemical projects at ASM Pacific Technology
  • Develop a plasma etching process and corresponding machine concept for the back-end semiconductor industry
  • Communicate with external chemical experts
  • Identify and overcome challenges in existing processes
  • Analyse experimental results and formulate technical and scientific reports
  • Expand the application field of plasma processes
  • Implement new chemical processes at customer sites

Requirements

  • PhD degree in chemical engineering or physics
  • At least 5 years of job experience
  • Experience with plasma processing
  • Knowledge about vacuum technology
  • Knowledge about laser processing
  • Experience in the front- and backend processing in the semiconductor industry
