Transportation Planner

About the Role:

In this dynamic position, you will play a crucial role in optimizing transportation execution, ensuring timely deliveries, and driving cost efficiency in a global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Executing network planning to guarantee timely and cost-effective transportation solutions for interregional transport across Europe.
• Aligning with weekly forecast expectations and possessing a comprehensive overview of daily tray-type stocks.
• Building strong communication channels to bridge the gap between offices, depots, and transporters.
• Crafting and implementing operational plans based on forecasts and stock levels for on-time deliveries.
• Monitoring market prices, trends, and providing insights into cost-saving alternatives.

Requirements:

• Higher professional education (HBO/Bachelor) level of work and thinking preferably in Logistics.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in a related environment (international freight forwarding or supply or demand cross regional challenges).
• Proficient IT skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
• Proficiency in English, spoken and written. An additional language is beneficial preferably (Dutch, German, Spanish, or French).
