We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. As a researcher in AI and data management, you will be working on the forefront of research inspired by retail settings.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent research in AI, resulting in academic publications in peer-reviewed conferences and journals.
- Collaborate with other researchers and become an active member of the research community.
- Supervise Bachelor and Master theses and tutor students.
- Coordinate and work with partners at Ahold-Delhaize.
- PhD in artificial intelligence or computer science.
- Committed researcher with demonstrated publications in international refereed academic journals and conferences.
- Experience in supporting tasks and willingness to take responsibility for administrative tasks.
- Professional command of English.
We offer a temporary employment contract for 38 hours per week for a period of 12 months. The preferred starting date is as soon as possible. The gross monthly salary, based on 38 hours per week and dependent on relevant experience, ranges between €3,000 to €5,000 (scale 10). UvA additionally offers an extensive package of secondary benefits, including 8% holiday allowance and a year-end bonus of 8.3%. The UFO profile Researcher 4 is applicable. A favourable tax agreement, the '30% ruling', may apply to non-Dutch applicants. The Collective Labour Agreement of Universities of the Netherlands is applicable.
